Shalin Shah
Born in traditional Jain Family and grew up in Ahmedabad, Shalin completed his Master's in Operation management from Australian University. His 4 years of stay in Australia gave him a unique opportunities to work in different cafés and restaurants and been in hospitality industry since 2012. We can say that's where the seed was planted and dream was born to have his own vegetarian restaurant which can serve Jain food as well. He moved to Canada and started working towards this goal and his dream has been accomplished.
Being in Canada and pursuing a dream of having only Veg restaurant wasn't easy part and search was continuous. Finally, with the support of his wife Amira and his business partner Kunal & family, Canada provided him the opportunity to bring Sankalp. Customer service, quality of food and experiment with food are his passion which one can feel when they're dining in at Sankalp.
Kunal Shah
Typical Amdavadi foody guy who grew up eating all kind of street foods in early 20's, Kunal completed his Master's degree in pharmaceutical science and has been working in Pharma Industry full time as marketing head in US and in Canada. Business and Gujarati are the synonyms of each other as most of us would know.
He wanted to build a place where Indian community comes together and enjoy the Taste of India. His traditional vedic philosophy "Atithi Devo Bhavah" and "one can not return from the doorstep without food or water " brought him to this adventure. He works full time in pharma field but you can find him in evening and all weekends at Sanakalp Mississauga.

Under the sheer dynamism of Mr. Kailash Goenka, Ph.D (CMD), Sankalp has grown from strength to strength. His vision, passion and single-minded dedication are the reason for the recognition, goodwill and popularity The Sankalp Group enjoys today. In the year 2018, Mr. Kailash Goenka, Ph.D, was conferred with rare honour of Doctor of Excellence, Honoris Causa (Hospitality Management) by Young Scientist University, USA. The conferring of Ph.D comes in wake of his tremendous contribution in his field, for his excellent performance, his innate knowledge and business acumen.
The Group’s retail brands have an international appeal. Today, Sankalp has a strong presence in 7 different countries. Its aspirations and motto to offer the very best cuisine and dining experience to as many guests as possible, does not stop there. Mr. Kailash Goenka, Ph.D envisions the opening of more than 500 Restaurants by the end of 2020. Keeping in mind the growth potential of the Brand, the company has constantly innovated and created lucrative opportunities both for businessmen as well as consumers. Today, the growing Sankalp family is an ever growing bond-of-trust.
